Synopsis
Benjamin is a working-class gay musician, who scrambles to access expensive HIV prevention medication after a sexual assault. Without health insurance, he faces a race against time to afford the $1,000 “PEP” treatment within 72 hours. Concurrently, he has just met Malcolm, leaving him anxious about the possibility of HIV infection. He is uncertain whether this is an opportune time to start a new relationship. Through Benjamin’s story, the film explores universal themes of love, family, friendship, and healthcare accessibility – a timely examination in an era of viral COVID-19 epidemics.
