Synopsis
Abandoning her dream of becoming a designer, Natsumi takes a job at the “Shibuya Million Ice Cream” shop. There, she hears from her colleague Takako about two sisters who fell for the same man and became estranged. Natsumi then meets a mysterious young woman who turns out to be a former Akutagawa Prize winner now living in obscurity. Before long, Natsumi finds herself irresistibly drawn to this enigmatic stranger.  This film, a bold reimagining of Mieko Kawakami’s novel ICE CREAM FEVER, celebrates the lives of young women. It features a stellar cast of female talents, including popular actress Riho Yoshioka from the TV drama QUARTET and Serena Motola from VOICE IN THE WIND. Set against the backdrop of the same apartment and the vibrant, colourful ice cream shop, the story weaves a dreamlike summer romance.
