Synopsis
Mo and his boyfriend Hisham, a gay Egyptian couple, return to Egypt for a family emergency, compelled to hide their relationship in the country’s homophobic environment. Haunted by childhood fears and religious guilt, Mo becomes terrified when someone leaves witchcraft at his door, reviving his deep-seated anxieties. As the supernatural occurrences escalate, Mo grapples with his shame, fearing his partner will discover his lingering religious beliefs that view their love as sinful. Confronted by the ghosts of his past, Mo must summon the strength to fight back and liberate himself, lest his darkest secrets be exposed. This tense, psychologically gripping narrative explores the personal and cultural complexities of being a gay man in Egypt.
